Welcome To Your Weekend!

This Week: Hot, Sunny, & Dry!
The Forecast for this Weekend: Hot, Sunny, & Dry!

NO rain yesterday, overnight, or thus far today. It is warming up fast this morning! With a current temperature of 91 degrees & bright sunny skies...we're anticipating it will get even hotter by afternoon...upper 90's anticipated for highs.  With the park being closed last weekend due to weather, we are excited & ready to kick off the weekend! So without further hesitation, the time to think about the weekend is NOW! Here's what you can expect for conditions here in Bulcher...

RRMT, INC.'S RAIN RECAP
Just as a recap, leading up to today, here are this week's rainfall totals that we pulled off each of our Facebook posts from the week:

* Monday (7/12/10)--NO PRECIPITATION
overnight--NO PRECIPITATION
* Tuesday--NO PRECIPITATION
overnight-- NO PRECIPITATION
* Wednesday -- NO PRECIPITATION
overnight--NO PRECIPITATION
* Thursday-- NO PRECIPITATION
overnight-- NO PRECIPITATION
* Friday (Today 7/16/10) -- NO PRECIPITATION as of 11:15 a.m.

* Unlike last week, we didn't even get a sprinkle of rain here in the Red River Valley this week. It's hot & dry here - the type of July weather in Texas that we are use to.

TRAILS
All of our trails are currently OPEN except Bill's Woods & Madagascar. These two areas are closed for the summer riding season. These two areas will open back up sometime in the fall as we get ready for fall riding season in Bulcher.

Mountain Creek is still backed up some particularly down toward the Red River. And It is down toward the mouth of the Red River where we advise riders to use caution due to this backed up murky water. However, Mountain Creek can be crossed at this time. Just be sure to cross it in low water areas rather than down toward the mouth of the Red River where this backed up water lurks. As always we would like to remind everyone that just because a trail was there on your last ride...don't expect it to be there on your next ride. We advise everyone to use caution even when riding on trails that you were once familiar.

 * The moisture from the rains of last week are long gone. While there may still be a few lingering puddles in low lying or shaded areas on trails, these puddles will be few and far between. Riders this weekend should anticipate dry trails & dust. The only place riders can expect to get wet or muddy is in the creek.

RED RIVER
The Red River still remains at a higher level than normal. Much like previously described, there is some lurking murky water/quicksand being pushed up into the mouth of Mountain Creek from the river, so watch out for it...getting stuck is a big possibility in the creek down toward the mouth of the river.

CREEK
While riding in Mountain Creek is possible and crossing the creek is also possible...please use caution when in the creek, especially further down the creek toward the river. It is very possible to sink your recreational vehicle in the creek due to quicksand/water if not careful. Please note that if you get stuck, RRMT, Inc. is under no obligation to tow you out!
